In this chapter, you will learn that:
- Marital satisfaction increases as one moves up the class structure, where divorce laws are liberal, when teenage children leave the home, in families where housework is shared equally, and among spouses who enjoy satisfying sexual relations
..Soooo, marital satisfaction increases with the ability to divorce? And when you get rid of the children? Wow, that's heartening. Why don't we just not get married, and not have children, and so up the satisfaction level all around?
- The worst effects of divorce on children can be eliminated if there is no parental conflict and the children's standard of living does not fall after divorce.
?!??!! If there is no parental conflict, then WHY would they get divorced?! -.- OBVIOUSLY there will be conflict what! Dots..

Friend,
All along I thought
I was learning how to take
How to bend not how to break
How to laugh not how to cry
But really
I've been learning how to die
I've been learning how to die
First week of school has been... hectic, to say the least. Already I find myself sliding into a lot of the university ruts that I promised myself I wouldn't fall into. The temptation to skip lectures is unbelievably strong! And, despite the innumerable warnings, I was still taken by surprise by how self-initiated the learning has to be.
Thank God for the USP people and the USP lounge, without whom and without which I know I would be hating uni life a lot more. Then again, they're also a big part of why I haven't been keeping up with my schoolwork as much as I'd like to. Haha!
Sleepover was fun. It was especially nice talking late into the night...er, early into the morning, discussing all manner of random things. I wonder, can you really just partition God into a part of your life? Just once a week, no more, no less (except perhaps on Christmas or Easter).
"Sunday Christian" my mum would call them. But it seems to me that if I truly knew God, not knew about Him but truly knew Him personally, then surely I would be so convinced of His Glory and Love and Power that I would be compelled to worship Him, and make Him the centre of my life. If I were not, then surely He would not be God - immortal, perhaps, and supernatural, perhaps, but not God. For should not God be greater than any and indeed every other thing?
Anyway, we caught Up in the morning! (Haha, it sounds funny - we caught up, and we caught Up...nevermind.) It was nice! I wept quite a bit =X the first part especially was really really sweet. But it wasn't so great that I'd watch it again (unlike, say, Finding Nemo or Monsters Inc. or maybe even Ratatouille). The plot was pretty predictable, as well as the characters. But man the first part was really sweet =) *AWWW moment*
Then I was late for lecture, which I might as well not have gone for for all the listening I did. Caught dinner with James after that. I gotta admit he knows where to get good desert. Yum! Car syndrome kicked in, too - (The 2nd Principle of Car Usage states that if one in a group owns a car and is willing to send the others back, the likelihood of the group staying out later increases tenfold) - got back just in time to skip grounding, but late enough to receive a "what time are you coming back???" message from Mum. Hee.
Wow, 6.20pm. I'd better hurry or I'm not gonna be able to finish the slides before games night.
