stupid dilemma.
Okay, no dilemma. It's clear cut. Obey your parents.
But crap la I really want to go night cycling. This is stupid. Rawr.

Haha. Oh well.

I finished 3 scrapbook pages! Yayyy *very pleased* should have called David sooner though, he was upset when he realised I'd been scrapbooking without him. Mum complained that her life is wasting away (she spent the whole afternoon on one page).

Whee! I'm finally going to meet Wei-An and Hannah and Phoe tomorrow. Excited! Yay. I can't wait to meet Jan and Mich and Xinhui and Mark and everyone else too. When we finally meet up, that is.

HELLO WORLD.

I AM BACK.

(:

USA is amazing! Okay, Seattle is amazing! The suburbs where I was, anyway. The greenery was fantastic. Lots of beautiful flowers and trees everywhere. The beach. The garage sales (bought 6 puzzles for 75c total. XD) !!

Lauren and Megan are puzzle fans too, by the way. Too bad they live 30 000 miles away, or I'd be able to ask them to come help me finish any 1000pc puzzles I start. Haha.

Shopping is so much cheaper there, honestly! I tell you life costs less in Seattle. Houses are cheaper, cars are cheaper, food is cheaper (if you buy it from a grocery store), clothes are cheaper, petrol is cheaper...

Which is why my mum and I bought enough clothes and craft materials to fill an additional 2 medium-sized suitcases (I know because we had to spend an entire day packing and distributing the weight to carry it all back). The only thing more expensive is eating out - food courts charge pretty high over there. But if you buy food to cook by yourself, it's cheaper. *shakes head*

I went crazy at Jo-Ann's. And at Michaels. Don't know why people like to buy me things like towels or candles for my birthday. CARDMAKING BOOKS, now that's a gift. (I nearly bought 3. But mum talked me out of it, so now I only have one. Heh.) Yay! Scrapbooking is my new love.

Sent 379 pictures to Fujifilm to print yesterday. Heh. But hey, you can't scrapbook without pictures! Haha. And that's just from the trip alone, btw.

Camping was fantastic. We drenched ourselves in insect repellent, but it worked. And the weather was perfect. Did you know that firewood actually does "crackle and pop"? I'd read about it in books, but since I've only seen charcoal barbeques here, I didn't think that much about it. Toasting marshmallows and sausages over the campfire was fantastic. The smell was so good, a racoon came right into our camp and we had to throw things and yell at it so it would leave. (Don't worry, we took a video of it first. It looks exactly like the one in Pocahontas.)

The plane ride back was just awful. The first step, from LA to Tokyo, had NO INDIVIDUAL TELEVISIONS. The boys and I thought we were doomed for sure! We hadn't even brought our usual snacks and games and books because we thought we'd just watch movies, and put it in our check-in luggage. Luckily Northwest is one of those airlines which gives out cards, so I taught them to play bridge.

The worst part is being back here, actually. I thought it would be okay, because I was already starting to miss home, and I had lots to do (worship leading, scrapbooking, meeting up with so so so so many people, uni camps, etc).

BUT NO. Because mum is putting us all under self-quarantine. I really really really want to meet up with people but I can't booo boooo booooooo. Although she's right, I know. But arrgh. I missed the honeystars lunch, and I'm gonna (probably) miss worship prac. Sigh.

The GOOD part, though, is that I can message again! :D And chat with all my friends. Whom I have yet to meet. =( And sleep in my own bed! Although not for long, because of the jetlag. My entire family was up by 6am today, lol. Oh well...
