I wish I was in lyrical jazz or contemp. I really love the items, and the songs.. I mean I like the happy items like the broadway jazz and the kids item, and hiphop is really cool, but the contemp ones really pull your soul... oh well =) at least I'll have fun watching the rest..

MEL IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I didn't know! I can't
believe it! STUPID GIRL never tell us !!!!!!!!!!! she arrived on THURSDAY wth haha YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY *beams* I'm so so so glad she's back! Anyway finally sort of got to see Kane around (as in I've seen him around and stuff but never actually heard him talk that kinda thing.. nevermind) and
VIC IS BACK TOO YAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYY *double beams* And Mel can come watch The Right Step! =D The only thing is I didn't get another ticket so I guess she's gotta go alone =/ hope she doesn't mind! Claire and Daniel are going =D yayyy I love them =D happy!

I'm quite worried for the Broadway Jazz item. Broadway is really SHOWY, but honestly we're not showy at all! Except one or two people (*cough* mel *cough*) arrrgh =( it's not only really messy, it's really... low energy. It CANNOT be low energy, it is a high energy item! Sigh. I'm giving it my 100% already, but it's just not cutting it! I'm not doing it right, I know I'm not. Gah. WORK WORK WORK. You could see the look on Steph's face. It's like she didn't know where to start, because it wasn't anywhere near what she wanted, there was just so much to clean. We're gonna have to nitpick, but we don't have the time for that.. Oh no, I really hope we can pull this off!
During a break in hiphop today, I watched Mel and XinLin work on the lyrical jazz item. It's soooo beautiful, especially with the song! I've said it before and I'll say it again - Mel is such an
awesome dancer. I can't
believe she can be so good at contemp/ballet AND hiphop.
I've seen Jinglin dance. She's awesome. I've always known that. She has the gift of catching the step and making it look good and hitting the beat no matter how fast it is. Zaki commented she makes watching the dance easy. It's true. XinLin, MinLi, Mel, Jinglin, they all are so awesome. They ALL have that special shine. That when they get on stage, you just watch them, because they're all so awesome, and the make the step their own. *sighs*
But not just that, Mel is such an awesome choreographer. All her steps are so easy yet difficult, pitched at the right level that you can keep pushing yourself and yet it's not so fast that you shortcut the step. And of course, it looks good. And she's so
nice. She's good with everyone - teachers, parents, kids, us. It's amazing. I
love the way she handles the kids. Patient, yet firm, yet fun. I can't do that. The kids item is gonna be so cool.
I had a dream last night. I killed someone - drove a spear into his chest. I saw the blood - it wasn't a splatter but more like a fast leak. It was awful, I felt awful yet I knew it had to be done, or something. I didn't cry, but my own chest felt like there was a stone inside weighing it down, like when you have a great sadness within you.
But that's not all. Before that, I dreamt I was talking with Mel and Jinglin. We were talking about a dance, and Mel said she found it a lot easier to choreograph than to block and clean, while I said it was so much easier to block and clean, but I could never think of steps. Jinglin said something to that extent too. But in real life I know that's not true. Both Jinglin and Mel have no trouble (well, everyone has trouble, but you know what I mean) with steps and blocking, etc. I dunno..
Not feeling to great at the moment actually. A bit.. heavy inside. Can't quite pin the reason. Just a nameless sorrow. *wry smile* dramatic phrasing.

I'm wondering how to get out of my job interview at Settlers'. I don't have time to take on any more things. What with work attachment, ballet, dance and church, my next free day is 12th Dec, literally. EVERY day til then is booked morning to night. Gah. Let me see.. next thursday night is free. Yeah. that's about it, actually. Oh, 1st dec morning should be free. Hopefully. Haha. I AM SO SCREWED.
I wonder whether I should take up Preacher Ruth's request to perform a dance at the Christmas celebration in dec. I suppose I could as Wei-An for help, if he's free. But it's so late! I really wish she'd asked earlier, I think she doesn't realise that dancing isn't like singing - singing you know how, you can just sing a song after a few practices. Dancing you need to choreo, practice.. I don't have time to choreo a dance, and even reusing an old one like she suggested is really tough considering how I didn't choreo them so I'm not sure of all the steps, and anyway it needs more people in that case. I don't have time to train up the youths, not by the 15th, anyway. Maybe I can teach Brenda jive or something. I wouldn't mind dancing the guy part, it's mostly okay I think. ^^ and it would be pretty easy to do stunts. Hm. I'll ask her..
