Sports Camp was really fun! While it lasted, anyway.
Day 1 (Mon):
tried out the different sports. archery was fun!
netball was NOT fun. no rules, super UN-fun. *shudder*
bball was quite fun. ZiWei is zai! (well, we're all Zai, but she's a zai bballer! haha)
canoe polo was VERY FUN. i so want to join! haha even though i suck.
the game where we jumped into the water and tried to collect the splash was also very fun. stupid Zi Cheng and Yong Hwee capsized the air mattress while i was on it! BOOOO hahahah
going across the water in the big clear ball was fun too! i went with ZiWei and we just totally laughed and tried to crawl (and failed).
SP session at night was pretty fun too! I think I was quite lucky, all the guys in my group were pretty nice so it didn't get very awkward or anything. And we were very lucky - only had to feed twisties ONCE, and didn't get too badly smeared with kaya. Poor Yong Hwee got totally smeared with it on the side of his face, haha.
Oh, before SP session we had mass dance. I partnered MingJie, who was quite cute haha very funny. And at the end the girls have to JUMP into the guy's hands! When the mass dance ICs first demo-ed it I thought it was just a stunt, we wouldn't actually have to do it but WE DID. Haha luckily MingJie's quite strong :P Yay.
Roomed at RVResidence at night, with Michelle and WenQi! Yayyy roomies. But the room was disgusting. I don't care what they say, I'm SO GLAD I'm not staying in hall now. *shudder* seriously! Haha.
Day 2 (Tues):
615am morning call should've been brutal, considering I slept at 3.15am, but I was awake by 5.26am, no idea why. So was pretty zombie-ish the whole day.
Went to kallang for CAGE. It was the first time I'd been inside one of the Cages. It was pretty fun playing soccer. For once, I didn't suck too badly. And the guys were in their element, of course.
We also went dragon boating and canoeing. That was pretty fun. For canoeing, I partnered with MingJie again. ZaiZai lost the canoeing game, so our forfeit was to paddle back with only one paddle (which was very fun because basically, the girls got rowed. Haha!).
We sat on the back of a lorry from CAGE to dragon boating, and from canoeing to ECP. It was quite exciting, we were all quite happy ahhahah. Although it was really cramp and everything.
So anyway, went to ECP for rollerblading, which wasn't too fun because it was a station not an activity, so i didn't get to blade much.
Windsurfing was GREAT FUN though. I actually managed to surf out a bit, then back! Whoohoo!! Haha it was thanks to KiatTat's help. He'd surfed before, so he directed me how to stand up and get going. Yayyyy fun =D
Station games at night was fun! The fighting for marshmallows was HILARIOUS omgosh COMPLETELY HILARIOUS! And the balloon-bursting flour-sweet-digging also, and the tissue volleyball HAHA. Yayy!
After station games though, we had the martial arts display which was kinda boring because I'd seen it in VJ before. Trying out the different martial arts was even MORE boring, except for the Judo station which was really cool because we got to throw the poor guy, and the poor guy had to throw all of us. Haha. We all thought the being-thrown sensation was pretty cool! As one of the judo girls put it, "It's like a cheap roller coaster ride." LOL. Other than that, the martial arts tryouts were boring. (There was a cute fencing guy though!!! HAHA)
THEN we had pageant games and all. It would have been interesting, but I was totally zonked and practically slept my way through. *yawn* Slept at 3.30am again...
Day 3:
It rained in the morning, and the station games were cancelled. I felt kinda bad for the programmes committee, but I guess it was inevitable.
Then we set off for the amazing race! Oh that was fun. Our first station was kangeroo hoppin - we had an obstacle course where the guys had to help the girls through, while the girls were on those kangeroo leg jumping thingies. They're a LOT harder to walk in than they look! But it's quite fun.
The next pit stop was PAINTBALL. (I think.) Oh wow it was FUN! Haha. The poor people in group1 barely got to play because one fo the guys grabbed the flag and ended the game so quickly. I was in group 2, and we learnt pretty quickly. We allied with the other group so no one would grab the flag until we ran out of ammo haha. So we got to shoot and play for quite a bit. It was VERY FUN. But I got hit a LOT - on my arm, on my thigh, on my finger and on my head! I have the blue-blacks to prove it, too. Rawrr.
yawn. tired. continue tomorrow!
