I know you, I walked with you
Once upon a dream
I know you the gleam in your eyes
is so familiar a gleam
Yes, I know it's true
that visions are seldom all they seem
But if I know you, I know what you'll do
You'll love me at once
the way you did once upon a dream

Funny how dreams die as we get older. Haha.
No calls again today. Was as haiwei would say, "rather bored." Or, as mich would say, "bored to death." So anyway, around 9pm I had this impulse to watch Disney's Sleeping Beauty. So here I am now, waiting for part 2 to load (darn thing is awfully slow).

It's the part where she meets her prince. He suddenly joins in and dances with her. And she acts so young and inexperienced it's almost painful to watch. But then he says he's met her too, once upon a dream (which is bullshit, he wouldn't know the song if he hadn't heard it a few minutes ago) and she gives in and they dance together.

And they twirl and spin about the grass to their own music, in perfect grace and harmony. And in that dance, they don't talk, which is dumb, because how are they supposed to really love each other if they don't know each other?

And yet, in that dance, they fall in love. So I was just thinking, there's something special about dancing with someone. You feel the connection even when you're just dancing in a group, and even more so when it's a partner dance like a waltz or the chacha or something. There's something special about being held and moving in harmony. Something innately romantic about the dance...

Aurora and Phillip finish the dance. And they walk off holding hands, and stand atop a mountaintop cliff gazing into the beautiful scenery (Dom, remember your things-to-do-before-you-die list? remember the watch the sunset from a cliff one?). And then he asks her, "Who are you? What's your name?"

What's with it with all these princes not knowing the names of the girls they supposedly love with all their hearts? -.-
